- Check all plants and turf for disease and insect infestation.
- Third application of lawn fertilizer (August) to promote root growth before the coming winter.
- Check the irrigation system prior to the July and August heat for time and coverage.
- Deadhead your perennials and annuals to stimulate continued blooming.
- Divide and thin perennials when they start to crowd.
- Begin fall planting (September).
