Spring (April - June)
- Remove tree wrap (April).
- Apply weed and feed to your lawn, patch bare spots before weeds move in (late April).
- Clean up planting beds (April) before new growth starts.
- Relocate any summer or fall blooming plants while they are still dormant.
- Plant perennials after last frost (~ late May).
- Second application of lawn fertilizer (June).
- Aerate your lawn (April) just prior to activating your irrigation system.
- Fertilize trees and shrubs after the leaves have fully expanded.
- Plant trees and shrubs - see individual plant for specific times and space needs.
- Fire up and check your irrigation system (see irrigation system instructions).
- Prepare garden or planting bed areas. Good soil preparation is the most important
part of any planting or landscaping. Plants perform better and
your weeding and watering needs will be reduced. Don't forget
to mulch!
